Tānisi (Hello), I’m Jessica, the maker behind Northern Crow Creations.

Welcome! I am a Métis glass and fibre artist inspired by the nature surrounding my home on Treaty 7 Territory. I have been a knitter and glass blower for many years, but my true love of fibre began with sash weaving. As a Métis sash weaver, I wanted to create sashes from the original fibre to the sash. I hand dyed roving, spun the yarn and then wove the sash. This sparked my love of dyeing and spinning and led me to the creation of Northern Crow Creations. The name of my company reflects my family affinity with crows and my pride in my northern Cree and Métis ancestry. Most of my colorways are inspired by nature photos taken by my friends and family.
